This year’s edition of the event will feature both first-time participants and long-standing contributors with works varying in artistic styles, perspectives and experiences. The pieces aim to engage showcase the resilience, hope and personal growth of the creators, while breaking down barriers to encourage compassion and understanding of mental health challenges.

“Events like Awakening the Spirit remind us that every person has talents, strengths, and stories worth sharing,” Payson said.

“We invite the community to experience these remarkable works of art and celebrate the artists behind them.”

The pieces will be on display for the public to view and learn about the positive impact of creativity on mental health and recovery and to support the local artists. Any sales will go to support the local artists.
