Lakeview Pool opening with extended hours Friday

A spot where people can splash around and beat the heat opens up ahead of the weekend.

The Lakeview Outdoor Pool opens Friday, June 26.

Through to August 1, the Peanut Pool will be open until 8 p.m. on weekdays, giving people more time to enjoy the water, participate in evening programs, and book the pool for private events like birthdays.

The full schedule for the Lakeview Pool can be found online here.

The city said the facility is a favourite for residents and visitors, with more than 14,000 people swimming at Lakeview in July and August of 2025.

A new snack shack will also be coming to the pool and park, though the city did not provide a timeline for when the concession would be open and operational.

The Lavington Pool was slated to open the previous weekend but that was delayed to July 6 to accommodate mechanical repairs.
