Water challenges

More Lavington, Coldstream properties moved to different water source

Jun 24, 2026 | 5:12 PM

In order to preserve water supply while supporting the local agricultural sector, dozens more properties are having their water source changed.

Greater Vernon Water is switching customers onto the Antwerp Depp Well source.

Those include addresses on Brewer Rd., Highway 6 from Brewer Rd. to Buchanan Rd., Aberdeen Rd. N, and properties near Kalamalka Lake Rd. between HWY 6 and McClounie Rd.

This expands on a switch made for Lavington properties on June 3.

Stage 3 Water Restrictions remains in effect for these properties.

People in the area may experience a slight change in the taste, smell or appearance of their water, as the Antwerp Deep Well draws from a protected groundwater aquifier. This water has been tested and is safe to consume.
