SQUAMISH — Mounties in Squamish, B.C., say the bodies of two people who went missing while paddleboarding on Browning Lake in Murrin Provincial Park last weekend have been found.

The Sea to Sky RCMP say in a news release that police received a report around 3 p.m. on Saturday about two people who failed to resurface after going into the water.

Police say a co-ordinated search was initiated.

It included help from Squamish Search and Rescue, the fire department, the B.C. Conservation Officer Service and BC Emergency Health Services.

The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team arrived at the lake on Tuesday to help with the search.

The release says the bodies of the two people who police have not identified were located during that operation and have been recovered from the water.
