Jul 25, 2025 | 11:16 AM

A death that occurred over five years ago is being investigated.

The B.C. Coroner’s Service will launch a review into the death of Jeremy Myrhaug in September.

Myrhaug died in January of 2020 following events involving members of the Salmon Arm RCMP. He was 40 years old at the time of his death.

The presiding coroner and a jury of five people will hear evidence from witnesses under oath during the inquiry to determined the facts surrounding the death.

The coroner’s inquest is a non-fault-finding public inquiry aimed at determining the facts related to the death, and making recommendations to prevent similar deaths in the future. No legal responsibility will be determined as a result of this process.

The inquest will run from September 8 to 19, 2025.
