The bigger, brighter showroom is double the size of the original location a few doors down, but The Tile Guy Flooring and Renovation’s Lake Country expansion isn’t just about square footage. It’s about serving the community even better.

While it began as more of a satellite outlet to The Tile Guy’s Vernon location, now the Lake Country store is its own fully stocked, full-service showroom.

Owners Erik and Melissa Locke say it’s a direct response to the support the Lake Country store has gotten from the community. “You’ve helped us grow over the years, and we’re expanding to meet your needs,” said Erik. “We want to give you the best options without you having to leave town.”

It’s about more than having lots of samples and a greater selection overall. The new showroom also has an interactive area with display showers so that customers can see how different options look when they’re installed.

The Tile Guy Flooring and Renovation’s signature customer service is also in full swing, with them going above and beyond for local DIYers, contractors, and designers.

With a team that includes plumbers, electricians, carpenters, installers, and designers, they can handle as much or as little of a project as the customer needs. “We do full renovations, but we’re also flexible, right? We’ll work with you. Maybe it’s just all the parts you don’t want to do,” said Erik. “We can take on whatever you need us to.”

“We can help with anything or everything,” said Melissa. She noted that some DIYers know exactly what they want while others might not know where to start. “Even if you get stuck in the middle of your project or think you messed it up, call us and we’ll walk you through it.”

For designers, the Lake Country location offers exclusive after-hours access for them to make the new showroom their own. It’s the chance for a designer to host clients privately when it’s convenient for them. “Maybe bring a little charcuterie board, or we can have some water and a fruit basket waiting for you.” says Melissa. “Our house is your house.”

Beyond customer service for clients, The Tile Guy Flooring and Renovations is also giving back to the community overall. Through things like sponsoring a Lake Country girls’ hockey team and contributing to local minor sports, they’re committed to supporting the community that has supported their store.
