Public input sought for City of Vernon website redesign

Oct 22, 2026 | 3:08 PM

The City of Vernon is asking for the public’s help redesigning its website.

In preparing to update the municipality’s website, the City has launched a public engagement survey for residents, businesses and visitors to provide their input on how the site should look and work.

The city said it wanted to make the site more accessible, user-friendly and easier to find information, access services, and stay connected with the municipality.

The survey will look at how people use the website, whether it be to pay a bill or look up a bylaw, and hear what they would like to see to improve the site and what features could make it more useful.

“The website redesign is about more than giving vernon.ca a fresh look. It’s an opportunity to rethink how the city shares information and delivers online services to better meet the needs of the community,” a release from the City of Vernon stated.

“Feedback collected through the survey will help guide decisions about the new website’s navigation, content, accessibility, and functionality. All feedback is collected anonymously.”

The survey can be found online here. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and will remain open until November 5.

The website redesign project is already in the early stages, with the goal of having the new site launched in late 2027.
