A man accused of killing his ex-wife in Lumby had his hearing date pushed back.

Vitali Stefanski was due in Vernon Law Courts Wednesday, January 8, to set dates for a preliminary inquiry into the case.

The B.C. Prosecution Service said the meeting was initially pushed back to Friday, January 10, but said the meeting was again rescheduled for Monday, January 13.

Stefanski was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Tatjana Stefanski.

Tatjanna went missing from her Lumby home in April of 2024, and the following day her body was discovered in a rural location.

Vitali Stefanski was located in a nearby area the same day as Tatjana’s body was found, and he was arrested but later released, only for charges to be laid against him at the end of May.
