Assault in Vernon Apartment

RCMP are investigating an assault that has one person being treated in hospital.

Police say it took place on Monday morning in an apartment at 3800 40th Ave in Vernon.

“An adult male was taken to hospital, where he remains with serious injuries. RCMP believe this was not a random attack, and the persons involved are known to each other,” says Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy.

Police are not releasing any further information at this time.

Anyone with information regarding this assault is asked to call the Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP at (250) 545-7171, or Crime Stoppers at 1(800) 222-8477.
