In the opening game, Ethan David made 34 saves for his fourth shutout of the season. Karvina, Czechia product Adam Csabi scored the lone goal 56 seconds into the first period, his 20th of the campaign.

That victory secured home ice advantage in the first playoff round for the Snakes, starting April 5.

On Saturday, defenceman Lukas McCloskey from Irvine, CA, netted two goals in a 3-1 win over the Spruce Kings before 1,107 fans at the Kopar Memorial Arena. Csabi added three assists.
