Get out and enjoy International Trails Day in ‘Trails Capital of B.C.’

A local group is encouraging people to get out an enjoy a hike on International Trails Day.

And according to the Ribbons of Green Trails Society, there is no better place to celebrate the event on Saturday, June 3 than in Greater Vernon, which is now known as ‘The Trails Capital of B.C.‘

“The Ribbons of Green Trails Society is encouraging everyone to get outside on Trails Day and explore our many local amazing trails while connecting with nature and culture along the way,” a news release from the society stated.

The society said the 58 trails in the area are listed on their website and interactive map. The trails are rated from easy to difficult, with wheelchair accessible recommendations.
