Help Find Deirdre

May 11, 2017 | 11:42 AM

RCMP are asking travellers to keep an eye out for a dog who was in a vehicle involved in a roll over crash east of Revelstoke on Wednesday.

A van lost control, went into a ditch and rolled over.

The 26 year old male driver from Alberta was airlifted to Kamloops hospital in serious condition.

Police later learned a seven month-old black Mastiff, wearing a red collar, and named “Deirdre,” is still unaccounted for.

“It is believed the dog kennel opened and “Deirdre” ran from the vehicle,” says RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

Deirdre is described as a medium sized mastiff with uncropped ears. She has a black with white chest and toe tip markings, is friendly, and and was wearing a red collar.

A search of the area continues, but so far Deirdre has not been located.

If you happen to see or locate Deirdre, you are asked to please contact the Revelstoke RCMP at 250-837-5255.
