Carnival Office Flooded

The Vernon Winter Carnival Society has been impacted by flooding.

The group’s office, which is next to BX Creek on 35th Avenue, has seen its basement flooded

Due to that, the society has moved its AGM to the Holiday Inn on 34th street at 5:30 on Tuesday, May 16.

“The executive made a decision that we felt was best for the membership to move the AGM” says Chair Deb White. “We hope all our members come out and even if you aren’t a member but want to learn more about Vernon Winter Carnival, we invite you to attend.”

White says the AGM will cover the success of 2017 Carnival as well as Board of Directors election.
