Upgrades to cause traffic disruptions on Vernon street

A detour will be in place for a portion of 35th St. in Vernon as crews conduct utility upgrades.

The city said work will begin as early as 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, and during the construction work, only local traffic will be permitted along 35th St. between 31st and 32nd Ave,

The work is expected to be complete by end of day Friday, though that may change if emergencies arise that cause delays to the work.
