Portable classrooms being added at local schools

Portable classrooms are coming back to some Vernon area elementary schools this fall.

The School District 22 board of education approved the purchase of four portables last September, with two being added at Kidston, and one at both Hillview and Alexis Park.

“They were purchased for projected enrolment increases and will be utilized how the schools determine best use at their school,” a District 22 spokesperson told Vernon Matters.
