Human remains found in lake

RCMP and the B.C. Coroner’s Service are investigating the discovery of a man’s body at the north end of Okanagan Lake.

Police say the remains of the 21-year-old man were found floating off shore Sunday morning (Aug. 2) by a member of the public.

Some personal items belonging to the individual were found on shore.

Mounties say there is no evidence of criminality being involved in the death.

“The B.C. Coroners Service attended and is conducting an independent and concurrent fact-finding investigation to determine how, where, when and by what means he came to his unexpected death,” Media Relations Officer Cpl. Tania Finn said.
