Heat warnings issued for B.C interior regions
With hot weather already making its presence known, Environment Canada has issued heat warnings for several regions in B.C.
Starting today (July 26), temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius, alongside overnight lows near 18 degrees are expected in the Okanagan, Shuswap and South Thompson regions.
Environment Canada says the heat comes from a strong ridge of high pressure building over the southern interior of B.C.
The heat warning is also in effect for the North Thompson, Cariboo and Fraser Canyon.
