Biker injured in Hwy 6 crash, say police
Update:
The RCMP say a biker was hurt and taken to hospital yesterday afternoon after a crash on Highway 6.
On Tuesday July 14, at approximately 3:30 pm, the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP along with BC Ambulance Service responded to a motor vehicle incident in the 4600 block of Highway 6.
“A motorcycle was westbound on Hwy 6 and pulled into the oncoming lane to pass a vehicle also travelling westbound,” said Cpl. Tania Finn, Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP spokesperson, in a statement. “Unfortunately, a vehicle was eastbound on Hwy 6 and the eastbound vehicle and the motorcycle side-swiped which caused the motorcycle operator to be thrown to the ground.”
