Staffing shortage temporarily closes bar and grill

A Vernon bar and grill announced it will be closing for a week, starting Wednesday (June 24), due to staffing shortages that it blames on the current economic conditions.

In a note to customers of its Facebook page, operators of The Kal on 30th Avenue said they are evaluating options in order to ensure a prompt reopening no later than July 1.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you,” the post said.

Business management said it is advertising on multiple job-seeker sites for multiple positions.
