‘We are excited to get back to business’: thrift store sets date for reopening
The Salvation Army will reopen its Thirift Store on 24th Street in Vernon on June 22.
The store has been closed for several weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lieutenant Stefan Reid said the store will resume operations in compliance with safety guidelines.
“We are excited to get back to business,” Reid said. “At the same time, we want to ensure we are doing our part to keep our staff and the community safe. So things may look a bit different in terms of the service delivery, but the same open and hospitable experience will be made available to all.”
