Downtown city street chewed-up as project gets underway
Normal vehicle traffic in part of downtown Vernon has been replaced with crews and equipment who have started an upgrade on 32nd Avenue.
The $1.95 million reconstruction project to renew services in the 3300 to 3500 blocks, and add a traffic signal, will last about four months.
Work started this morning with the pavement being ground up in the 3400 block of 32nd Avenue, with CGL Contracting of Vernon in charge.
