British Columbia is reporting 11 new Covid-19 cases since Monday, and for the first time in a few weeks, no new deaths.

There have been no new cases in Interior Health since Saturday, still at 194 total, with one person in the region in hospital.

There are 258 active cases, with 37 people in hospital, and 2,122 people fully recovered from the virus.

Over 321,000 people have taken the government survey on their experience dealing with the pandemic which you can access on the BCCDC website.

Dr. Bonnie Henry says with more activities being allowed in phase 2 of B.C.’s re-start plan, there is frustrations from those who think it’s moving too slowly and others that’s say it’s too fast.

“It is a balance, and I know that is very hard to achieve. It has been a learning experience for all of us in the past week trying to find that right balance,” said Henry.

Henry said they want to be able to report no new deaths everyday, so no more families have to deal with the loss of someone they love.

Health minister Adrian Dix said the occupancy rate at B.C. hospitals is at about 69 per cent, and on Monday, 5,234 people visited ER rooms across the province.

“That is one of the highest totals since March, and it’s generally a good sign,” said Dix.
