Get real, get connected when it comes to your mental health
The Vernon branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association is encouraging people to get real — and get connected — as they deal with the Covid pandemic.
As part of Mental Health Week, the branch is promoting the importance of social connection, but also to share their true feelings about their mental health.
Executive director Julia Payson says letting others know you’re not fine is OK, and it it can have positive outcomes.
“We are asking people to get real about their mental health,” said Payson. “Sharing our feelings can help start conversations that lead to improved mental well-being, while letting others know it’s OK to not be fine all the time.”
