Oct 24, 2019 | 1:42 PM

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, known for her stern lecture at the United Nations and determined advocacy for decreasing greenhouse gas emissions, stopped in Kamloops Wednesday (Oct. 23).

In a social media post, Kamloops resident Angie Halas described meeting Thunberg at the Tourism Kamloops office on Hillside Way.

The 16-year-old Thunberg and her travelling party were using the Tesla chargers at the Tourism Kamloops parking lot.

Thunberg is on her way to the Lower Mainland, where she will lead a climate strike Friday (Oct. 25).
