Traffic gridlock on highway

Some machinery on the road caused what one driver called a massive backup on Highway 97 north of Kelowna Tuesday afternoon.

Southbound traffic was backed up several kilometres between the Kelowna Airport intersection and Lake Country.

A transport truck lost a piece of heavy equipment which required a crane to be brought in to upright it.
