Candidates running for mayor and council seats in Vernon have provided their insight into how they think the city should address climate change issues.

Climate Action Now! (CAN!) North Okanagan put forward a non-partisan survey for local mayoral and council candidates in Vernon. This was based on a province-wide Vote4Tomorrow call to hear from municipal candidates on their stances about climate action.

All but three of the local candidates provided answers to the questions about buildings, climate justice, ecosystems, land use, transport, watersheds, and zero waste. Those who did not answer the survey were Wayne Lippert, running for mayor, and Robert Cook and David Scarlatescu, running for council,

The responses can be found online here.
