Nisku, AB:  The Vernon Vipers overcame a 4-0 deficit to earn a point before falling 5-4 in overtime to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in their second game of the BCHL Showcase.

Grady Magner scored the overtime winner and added three assists as the Bulldogs ended Vernon’s seven-game winning streak.

Alberni Valley built a four-goal lead in the opening period, prompting Vernon to call a timeout and replace starting goaltender Sammy DiBlasi with Kason Kobelka.

Toms Trockis began the rally with a shorthanded goal. He later completed the comeback in the second period with a Michigan goal, lifting the puck on his stick from behind the net and placing it into the top of the goal to make it 4-4.

Kobelka stopped 23 of 24 shots in relief, with the only goal he allowed coming in overtime.

Gleb Semenov scored twice for Alberni Valley, Leim Smith contributed a goal and an assist, and Arman Adamyan recorded three assists. Bulldogs goaltender Dayton Kitchener made 25 saves on 29 shots.

Vernon finished 0-for-3 on the power play and killed off five of six Alberni Valley opportunities.
