Motorbike crashes in Shuswap

Jun 3, 2019 | 10:23 AM

RCMP in the Shuswap say speed and alcohol have not been ruled out as factors in a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

Police say a male driver lost control of his bike and went off Eagle Bay Road in Blind Bay around 7 a.m. Saturday, coming to rest on some rocks.

The 48 year old resident of Lac La Hache was air lifted to hospital in Kamloops, and is in stable condition with injuries to his extremities.

“Salmon Arm RCMP continue to investigate the crash and speed and alcohol have not been ruled out as a factor leading to the incident,” says Staff Sgt. Scott West.
