Some of the city’s murals will be getting a face lift.
Council voted to approve spending $10,000 out of the mural reserve fund to wash and re-seal the paint on some of the murals.
The money will come out of the city’s mural reserve fund.
The Downtown Vernon Association has told the city that more money may be needed to hire an artist to fully fix some of the art.
The association is expected to come back to council to request the funds once they determine the cost of hiring an artist.
Since approving the expense, the city now has roughly $76,658 remaining in the reserve fund.
