RDNO General Manager receives prestigious award

The General Manager of Planning and Building at the Regional District of the North Okanagan, took home a major award for his work in district planning.

Rob Smailes received an award of Individual Achievement Distinguished Professional Contribution by the Planning Institute of British Columbia.

He was recognized for the impact of his work and his “personal commitment to planning.”

“The award confirms what we already know to be true- we hire the top people in their fields and have a staff of experts that are committed to their communities,” said Kevin Acton, Chair of the RDNO Board.
