Vipers Lose in OT to Merritt in ‘Unofficial Final’ of 4-3

In BCHL play it’s goes down as the ‘unofficial final’, as the Merritt Centennials defeated Vernon 4-3 in Overtime.  No official explanation from the BCHL regarding the status of that game is available at posting time.   Bradley Cooper stopped 45 of 49 shots earning Second Star.

Vipers will have home ice advantage in round one of the playoffs against Salmon Arm.  Games 1 and 2 will be played next Friday and Saturday – tickets go on sale Monday, 9 am at Kal Tire Place.

 

In KJIHL play the North Okanagan Knights were defeated on the road 8-3 by the Chase Heat.

 

In WHL action the Kelowna Rockets shut out the Kamloops Blazers at Prospera 2-0.   Roman Basran would get First Star in the shut-out.
