City staff hope to soon be diving into a feasibility study for a new Greater Vernon aquatic centre and the enhancement of the existing pool.
Vernon city council has given a thumbs up to a short-term action plan that would include looking at potential venues for a new recreation centre, complete with an aquatic facility, gyms and a walking track.
Staff are now expected to seek the support of Coldstream council and the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee.
The study is expected to cost up to 100-thousand dollars.
