Vipers Shut Down Warriors

In BCHL action last night the Vernon Vipers went into West Kelowna on their Rogers Hometown Hockey Weekend and shut out the Warriors 1-0.

Aidan Porter would stop 30 shots for the shut-out earning First Star.

Elan Bar lev wise would pot the winner for the Vipers and Third Star.

Tonight the Vipers host Prince George and we’ll have Mr. Mike’s Steakhouse Vipers play by with Graham Turnbull beginning with the Pre-Game show at 5:45.

Tough night for the North Okanagan Knights of the KIJHL getting hammered by the Princeton Posse on the road 9-1.
The Knights are in Summerland tonight.

In WHL play last night the struggling Kelowna Rockets upset the League leading Everett Silvertips 2-0 in their rink.

The game started off with a fight just 45 seconds in.  Rockets goalie James Porter stopped all 40 shots on the night, good enough for First Star.

Tonight the Rockets meet the powerhouse of the East Division, the Prince Albert Raiders.
