Council Candidates Questioned On ‘Vital’ Issues

A local society is helping Vernon residents get informed about the people running for city council.

The Community Foundation of the North Okanagan has questioned the candidates on a number of issues and released the results in a report it calls Civic Election 2018 – Vital City: Vital Questions.

Executive director Leanne Hammond says it provides insight into where the candidates stand on a broad range of important community issues.

“Community Foundations across the country are proud to encourage community engagement in an unbiased, non-partisan way. In preparation for the civic election on October 20th the Community Foundation of the North Okanagan wants to support civic engagement by encouraging people to VOTE, and to learn more about our community and our leaders.
