Stickle Project Remains On Track

Work continues to proceed smoothly on the Highway 97/ Stickle Road/20th Street extension project.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure says intersection construction at Stickle and Highway 97 is 40% complete and should be finished by late fall.

The Highway 97 southbound acceleration lane preload is complete, as is the removal of the concrete centre median.

Meanwhile, preload and surcharge work is underway on the 20th Street extension, which will connect to the south end of the existing Stickle frontage road.

That section of the project is not expected to be complete until fall 2019, subject to settlement of soft soils.
