“This isn’t simply about bringing 18 NFL Legends to British Columbia. It’s about creating opportunities for children, educating coaches, supporting our communities, and creating an experience that people will remember for the rest of their lives.”

GGFE only released the names of five former NFLers confirmed taking part in the camps in Vernon and Salmon Arm at the time of publication. They included Brian Billick, Super Bowl champion Head Coach of the Baltimore Ravens; Mike Smith, the winningest Head Coach of the Atlanta Falcons; Robert Griffin, Pro Bowl Safety of the Minnesota Vikings; Rob Turner, who is a two-time Offensive Coordinator of the Chicago Bears and Quarterback Coach for the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers; and Dean Dalton, Running Back Coach for the Minnesota Vikings. Further names will be released at a later date.

In addition to drawing people in for the NFL experience, Heron said he hopes people take time to “discover Vernon, Salmon Arm and everything this incredible region has to offer.

Registration information for the camps and further details on the confirmed NFL legends taking part will be available at the GGFE website. Tickets for those events will also be made available in the fall.
