Financial expert runs for council, wants better value for taxpayers

A man with nearly four decades of experience in valuation, property assessment, taxation, real estate and business analysis is running for Kelowna city council in next month’s local elections.

Tim Down is currently an Associate Broker with NAI Commercial Okanagan and owner of PacWest Commercial Real Estate Advisors.

Down’s campaign slogan is: Better decisions. Better services. Better value.

“Every tax dollar represents the work of a resident, family or business. Council has a duty to respect that effort by making careful decisions, controlling costs and delivering clear public value,” he says on his website.
