Local store owner plagued by repeat crime runs for Kelowna Council

A local business owner at the centre of downtown business frustration over repeat criminal offending has entered the Kelowna City council race.

Todd Daniels, from Gallery Streetwear, said the city has shaped his life and he never expected to run for council.

Daniels said his work has put him face-to-face with crime and addiction, and other issues as well as the gap between a decision made at City Hall and its consequences on the street.  

He rose to prominence after his store was among others targeted by repeat offenders.
