Unique festival to offer workshops that promote well-being
People wishing to explore their creative side and mental well-being will have the opportunity to do so during a special event in September.
The first-of-its-kind Mind Over Music Mental Health Festival will take place at Polson Park on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The event, put on by the Vernon and District Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), will bring together live music, creative expression, community connection, and mental health education to spark conversation, reduce stigma and promote well-being.
As part of this festival, CMHA Vernon will hold workshops where participants will be able to explore a range of mediums such as storytelling, music, photography, meditation and whole-body wellness. These workshops will be led by local artists, facilitators and wellness advocates.
