Work underway to build new North Okanagan Wastewater Recovery project

Construction of a major new water plant in Spallumcheen has begun.

The township said site preparation was underway for the construction of the North Okanagan Wastewater Recovery Project (NOWRP) at a site on L&A Cross Road.

Motorists were advised to be cautious and follow all traffic control measures around the area as there would be trucks and heavy equipment entering and leaving the site.

Updates and a more complete timeline for the construction of the new facility will be provided at a later date.
