Two-day contemporary Indigenous dance festival

Ahead of National Indigenous Peoples Day in June, Inner Fish Theatre Society and O.Dela Arts present Matriarchs Uprising, a powerful mixed bill of contemporary Indigenous dance performances, workshops, and a public conversation.

They will take place at downtown Kelowna’s Rotary Centre for the Arts on Monday, June 15, and Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

The upcoming program features acclaimed Indigenous artists Olivia C. Davies, Samantha Sutherland, and Sophie Dow, whose works bring together movement, storytelling, land-based memory, and cultural reflection.
