West Kelowna advances infill housing zoning changes
May 20, 2026 | 12:21 PM
West Kelowna council is moving ahead with zoning changes aimed at increasing infill housing – new homes built within existing neighbourhoods.
The proposed updates would make it easier to add secondary suites, carriage homes, duplexes, townhouses and apartments.
Changes include larger secondary suites and fewer design limits to give builders more flexibility.
A public hearing will be held so residents and developers can share feedback before any final decision.
