RCMP say missing Kamloops man may be trying to get to Vernon

RCMP have asked for help in tracking down a recent arrival to Kamloops who went missing and could be in the Vernon area.

Mounties said 61 year old Gene Siedekum was last seen Monday, April 20, around the 300-block of Columbia Street in Kamloops.

“Gene recently moved to Kamloops and may attempt to return to Vernon where he most recently resided,” Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said.

“We are asking the public to share his photo to assist us in locating him.”

Siedekum is 5’7″ tall and weighs 165 lbs. He has an average build, grey/white hair, and green eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black Adidas zip-up jacket with white stripes down the sleeves, grey pants, and black running shoes.
