Hike for Hospice to support end-of-life care

Apr 20, 2026 | 6:01 AM

People will be lacing up their sneakers and boots to hit the trails for a good cause.

North Okanagan Hospice Society (NOHS) will host its Hike for Hospice on May 3 at Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park.

The hike aims to bring people together and raise awareness as well as money for hospice and palliative care offered through NOHS, including end-of-life care, grief support, and services for individuals and families in the North Okanagan.

“We are excited to bring our community together again for Hike for Hospice,” Megan Cox, Executive Director of NOHS, said.

“This event is a beautiful reminder of the power of community coming together for a shared purpose to support compassionate care for those who need it most.”

The Hike for Hospice event will have a theme of Colour in Motion, and participants will be encouraged to dress in the brightest colours to help bring attention to the cause.

There will be a variety of trail options for participants to hike, allowing for people of all ages and abilities to take part.

People can register for Hike for Hospice at the NOHS website.
