London Drugs is gradually re-opening core services in stores across Western Canada, as it recovers from a cybersecurity incident one week ago.

The B.C.-based company has reopened 25 of its stores in British Columbia including in Vernon and Kelowna.

“We are pleased to announce that we are gradually re-opening stores in a secure, safe and orderly manner to take care of our customer’s needs,” Clint Mahlman, President and COO, said. “We are grateful for the patience and support of our customers and suppliers as we work to bring all services and systems at our stores back to full operation following this cybersecurity incident.”

London Drugs has also reopened six stores in Alberta, three in Saskatchewan and one in Manitoba.

What is open in all stores:

• London Drugs Pharmacists are on-site at all store locations to assist with emergency prescriptions and other urgent care.

• Canada Post locations within stores are accessible.

• The Insurance Services Call Centre is open and helping customers with insurance needs.

“At this point in the investigation, there is no evidence that any customer databases have been compromised, including our pharmacy patients and LDExtras members databases,” the company said.
