SPCA reduces adoption fees as part of celebration

If you’ve ever thought of adopting a pet, this would be a good time to do it.

The BC SPCA is offering 50 per cent off its adoption fees from now until May 5th at all its locations.

April 30 is Adopt-a-Shelter-Pet-Day, and the agency’s animal centres will also be hosting open houses Saturday, April 27.

While Vernon doesn’t have a SPCA shelter anymore, the closest ones are in Salmon Arm and Kelowna.

“The open houses are an opportunity for the public to learn more about what the BC SPCA does and see all of the ways we care for animals in our community,” Adrienne McBride, the BC SPCA’s senior director of community animal centres, said.

“It also gives us a chance to shine a light on some of the amazing animals in our centres who have been patiently waiting for their forever home.”
