Momentum building for Enderby’s Hockeyville bid
The support for Enderby’s 2024 Hockeyville bid is growing faster than a Filip Hronek slapshot.
The North Okanagan city of 3,000 residents is in the Canadian final four for the annual contest put on by Kraft Heinz. The winner receives $250,000 for arena upgrades, which Enderby will use on its arena which has been shut down since January due to an issue with the refrigeration system. Hosting an NHL pre-season game is also part of the contest.
Cochrane, Alberta, Wolseley, Saskatchewan and Elliot Lake, Ontario are the other communities in the running
The voting for the final four begins at 6 a.m. B.C. time on March 29 and ends on March 30 at 2 p.m.
