Free fan fest, watch parties headline Touchdown Kelowna Festival
Football fans and families will have nine days of free activities, concerts and watch parties to enjoy when the Touchdown Kelowna Festival takes over Waterfront Park later this month.
The city says Touchdown Kelowna Fan Fest, presented by Telus, will run from June 27 to July 4 and coincide with the BC Lions’ visit to the Okanagan. Organizers say the all-ages event will feature football-themed games, interactive displays and live entertainment designed to celebrate the Canadian Football League and the Lions’ appearance in Kelowna.
Festival-goers will be able to meet players and mascots, collect custom player cards and take part in autograph sessions. A Grey Cup display is also scheduled for June 28, along with activities including quarterback accuracy throws, receiver challenges, agility relays, face painting, balloon art and CFL trivia.
Waterfront Park Stage will host free performances by emerging artists throughout the festival, along with BC Lions game-day watch parties and post-game concerts on June 27 and July 4. Food trucks, licensed beverage service during select events, misting stations and water refill stations will also be available.
