Water source swap for some Greater Vernon residents

Some Greater Vernon residents will be getting their water from a difference source as of Tuesday, Nov. 7.

The Regional District of North Okanagan says due to planned maintenance, the Kalamalka Lake water source will be supplied to areas normally served by the Duteau Creek source.

Customers who are not normally on the Kalamalka water source may notice that the water is harder, and has a higher alkalinity and pH. That could affect customers who have in-home water treatment systems or aquariums.
