Vipers top Grizzlies in shootout to keep streak going
The Vernon Vipers scored late in regulation time to tie it and then beat the Victoria Grizzlies 2-1 in a shootout Saturday night at Kal Tire Place.
Max Borovinskiy’s first goal of the season at 18:44 of the third period evened the game at 1, bringing the crowd of 1,452 to their feet.
In the shootout, neither team could score in the first three rounds. Luke Pakulak netted a goal in the fourth round to put the Vipers ahead and Ethan David made the next stop to give the Vipers their third straight win.
The Vipers play their third of a four game homestand Friday when they host the Prince George Spruce Kings.
